I love waffles, really love 'em. If they weren't so fattening, I would eat them for breakfast every morning . This Villaware belgian waffle maker makes absolutely perfect waffles. The waffles come out golden brown and wonderfully crisp. This nifty little machine heats up in just a couple of minutes and it makes waffle after perfect waffle.

I found Carbon's Golden Malted Waffle Mix available on-line and have been using it to make my waffles -- so much easier than mixing them up from scratch. I also have tried my old tried and true from scratch waffle recipe and those waffles turned out perfectly too. Any good recipe or high quality mix should perform just as well.

If you are a waffle lover, do yourself a big favor and get this waffle maker. You will not regret it.

I purchased this waffle maker based on reviews and so far have only been completely satified with how the waffles turned out about 50% of the time. The back "burners" do not cook the waffle through as well as the front one when I use a thick batter and that part comes out doughy no matter how high I set the heat. A thin batter works better but I can still tell the differnce in the back portion of the waffle. I am disappointed with it and will probably purchase a different one at a later point. Next time I will not throw away the box until I've made sure it does what it's supposed to! If that wasn't the case I would rate it a 5 because it is easy to use, doesn't stick as long as it's been sprayed w/cooking spray prior to use, it is fast and the tones tell you when it is ready to use and when it is done. Perhaps mine is defective.

Rating: - The King (or Queen) of waffle irons!
This thing is heavy duty. Not your typical 14.99 cheapy from the local discount store. And it's well worth it! We've used it many times, cleanup's not a problem and when you want to make something special for a treat, it's easy!
