We received this as a wedding gift a few years ago, and it works perfectly. It is simple to use and holds a good amount of peppercorns. We love it so much we ordered another so we could grind sea salt in the first one and will use the new one for our peppercorns. For those who haven't tried the sea salt idea, you should. It's much better than using standard table salt. We can't say enough about OXO's products. We have yet to find a bad product made by OXO.

Rating: - At last, a good pepper mill...
I love fresh, ground pepper and lots of it. I have had many pepper mills and never been satisfied. Either not enough pepper comes out or the pieces end up being too large and not uniform. I read the reviews and liked that I heard and so far, I am not disappointed. There is plenty of pepper with each twist and the handy top ensures your cabinet or counter doesn't stay a perpetual mess. Finally, I can dispense adequate pepper when cooking and eating. True culinary happiness, at last!

It works, it easy of adjust the grind, the handle is easy to use. It has a little base that snaps on to keep the mechanism clean. Not to big, not to small. When great design becomes elegant and invisible.
