My Ronco Showtime Rotisserie arrived the week my parents arrived for a visit from Florida. They, as well as I were skeptical the unit could produce the same results as Ron Popeil demonstrates on his info-mercials. So.. we set out and purchased a 7.5 pound chicken, read the directions(a.k.a destructions for most as-seen-on-tv products), seasoned, loaded the chicken and fired up the machine. We checked on the chicken every 15 minutes. The fat was pouring off the chicken!!
I placed the "gibblets" from the chicken on the drip pan and roasted them while the chicken rotated above. I steamed fresh broccoli in the steamer pan right on top of the machine. I then made fat free gravey by simmering the roasted gibblets with chicken broth and savory seasonings. When the chicken was done, it was easily removed using the provided gloves. Now the true test... is the white meat juicey??? YOU BET!! I couldn't believe it!! I never cared for white meat before!!
We all enjoyed every part of that chicken, and the broccoli was steamed to perfection! My husband, daughter, parents and I devoured that chicken.
I disgarded the fat collected in the drip pan and was amazed at how much. One third of a coffee can was filled with chicken fat! When my parents left to return to Florida, I checked to make sure the machine was not packed along with them in thier motor home!! (they had threatened to steal it)
Needless to say, I ordered another Rotisserie and sent it to Florida. If you're going to roast in Florida, you might as well do it right!!! Ma, I expect a standing rib roast for Christmas in Florida!!!

I bought this Rotisserie from Amazon about two weeks ago and I totally love it. I've had my eye on it for a while but could not bring myself to buy it because many of the reviews indicated that it takes up a lot of space, which I don't have. However, the price at which Amazon offered the machine was totally irresistable, so I had to get it. All the reviews that I've read about this Rotisserie have turned out to be very true. The food turns out excellent and the machine is so easy to set up and clean up. There are very few parts to wash. I've cooked chicken twice so far and it turned out fantastic each time. I've also cooked Beef and Pork, which turned out great as well. The cooking times indicated on the machine and in the booklet are quite reliable. The machine does get hot on the sides, back and top, therefore it is not advisable to place it under the cabinet. I actually still have it on my kitchen table, and until I come up with a better solution thats where it shall remain. My kids and I love to watch the Rotisserie working, there's something really hypnotic about it :). This Rotisserie is an excellent kitchen appliance. I highly recommend it.

Rating: - For those of you who have doubts...
I want to assure you, that this machine is phenomenal. I was very interested in this product as soon as I saw it on TV, but I felt really stupid for even considering purchasing an infomercial product. I had serious doubts, particularly in its ability to perform "as advertised", as well as the durability and quality of the machine's construction.

I did extensive research via consumer reports and user feedback (such as here on Amazon.com). While these sourced did much to assuage my fears, what finally convinced me to make my purchase was a friend whom I knew in real life who had actually used the machine (her roommate owned one) and assurred me the machine was as good as was advertised. With that final assurance, I purchased my Rotisserie and I have NOT been disappointed.

The food tastes *great*, is always tender and juicy, cleanup is (relatively) easy, and it cooks your food *fast*. The price is a bit steep, but it is worth it (if you have the cash). I just wanted to write this review to help others feel a little more confident about their purchases, since reading reviews such as these were so important to me in my final decision to purchase.
