![]() Rating: - Cant Beat ItAfter reading the mixed reviews I decided to purchase this grill and try it myself. Its amazing it takes up a good chunk of counter space but it allows me to cook two pounds of chicked breasts at a time. Unlike some of the previous reviewers I haven't had any problems at all doing this all two bpounds done after preheating the grill for 10 minutes and cooking for 18 minutes. Cleanup was a breeze I just wiped the grill down whil it was still warm with a soapy sponge and then rinsed. Some have complained about not being able to clean marinades or spices of of the grill without scrubbing. I didn't have this problem but I also sprayed the grill after preheating with a PAM non stick spray made for indoor grills. This is one of the best buys I've made in a long time Rating: - I use it, love it, and recommend it!This model has a spacious cooktop that can cook for an entire family. It looks more modern than other models, and has the most useful features.

Everybody knows that different meats are best cooked at different temperatures. I have made the best tasting chicken, steak, and pork I have EVER eaten in my life on this grill. The timer shuts off the grill as soon as it is done cooking, which allows me to "set it and forget it".

There are only two things I would change about it. I would enable removable grill tops, for easy cleaning. Also, I would redesign the timer dial to last longer. Mine stops 2 minutes before it is done (so I set it for 12 min. so that it cooks for 10 min.)

I highly recommend this model. Rating: - I Hate This ModelI have gone through four George Foreman grills, namely, the white jumbo GR36CB and threw them out when the teflon wore off and the white plastic body started turning ugly brown. So, this black and silver GR62SIL seemed like a nice, different change of pace. I purchased this for $99 at Linens 'N Things. What a huge mistake this model is. First, the good: Looks really nice and modern, large, easy to clean, and has 2 temperature dials: a thermostat and a timer...this is where it ends. Now, the bad: The worst thing is you have to pre-heat the unit using the timer set for 10 minutes. I can't tell you how many times I've set the timer, walked away for maybe 12 minutes, 15 minutes, and have come back to the grill to find it has now shut itself off and the grill is cool again. I have to start all over again pre-heating it. Gee, the old GR36 was a pleasure....it never shut itself off, just the light would go off to let you know it was ready for use. Second, this unit is supposed to be 1500W. Mine is stated on the bottom at 1400W, even worse. Don't put frozen meat on there as it cools the unit down, and it never sears the meat. Meat looks very unappetizing and a sickly gray color until it starts to lightly brown and by then the meat is overcooked and dry. This unit is just not hot enough. What were they thinking about when manufacturing this loser??? Third: This is the second unit in three weeks. The first one just went back to Linen's 'N Things to be replaced. The first one had several issues, namely, it was poorly constructed. The lid was very wobbly and the little white rubber feet underneath kept popping out of place. I'd move the unit and the feet would fall out. Then I went to make dinner on the last uneventful night, and I attempted to pre-heat the unit. When I opened the lid, a teeny-weeny screw about a quarter inch long, flew out of the side of the unit. It was the screw the secured the right side of the top grill to the rest of the unit. My husband and I tried for nearly an hour to get the screw to go back in. There was no way to tighten it. Something was obviously wrong. How could such a miniscule screw hold the grill in place? Now the right side was hanging and we obviously were not eating dinner that night. We went to investigate why the screw would not catch only to discover the part that it screwed into located between the plates, was crushed. I ran back to exchange the defective unit. And to my surprise, LNT asked, "What happened? Did a screw fall out?" Is the new unit any better? Yes, so far, as far as its construction. Does it cook any better? Absolutely not. I'm hoping it dies an early death so I can throw it in the garbage. I can't say I'll never buy another Foreman grill, but I may have to go back to the simple styled GR36 jumbo one and live with the browning of the white body and the early demise of the teflon coating. They really need to improve it, but that unit cooked awesome.
