YEARS AGO I GOT A FRY BABY DEEP FRYER WHICH IS SMALLER THAN THE FRY DADDY, CAN NOT SEEM TO FIND ONE TO REPLACE THE ONE THAT I HAD TO GET RID OF. IT WAS THE PERFECT SIZE FOR SINGLE SERVINGS OR A LITTLE EXTRA.

Rating: - Difficult to clean, chord too short
I have one of the black fry Daddys, and I do not like it. The outside of the container is very difficult to clean, the oil welds itself to the metal and looks dirty. The scoop is going rusty, and the chord is too short, it doesn't allow the fryer to reach under the extractor fan in my kitchen and you can't use an extension chord with it. With no filter or cooking lid, lots of oily steam and smell fills the house after cooking with it. It would be much better if the base was detachable so that the pan could go in the dishwasher. The outside of the pan also gets incredibly hot. I am now looking for a better made fryer.

Rating: - No Temprature function
I had put this item on my wedding registry thinking that it would be a convenient device to use when I am frying food. However, when I used it I found two major things wrong with it. One, the most important, the outer shell got so hot that I had to put a towel around it so that someone would not burn their hand. Two, it didn't have a temprature scale. If I wanted to fry something at low heat, I couldn't, which I didn't think was very convenient. I ended up returning the item and getting something else.
