![]() Rating: - watch out for the lid...For a $20 sugarbowl, I expected a better design. The lid has a cute little triangle cut-out for a spoon which makes the lid very unstable because it is designed to rest on top of the bowl rather than inside the bowl. The slight ridge on the underside of the lid lacks sufficient depth to keep it on the bowl. I am a very careful person and 10 minutes after opening it, I was carrying it to the kitchen, the lid slipped off the bowl and smashed on the floor. I compared it to a Mikasa sugarbowl that I've had for years - the Mikasa lid has a sufficient lip and sits inside the rim of the bowl, the design is much more stable.. Rating: - Never turns up on timeGreat sugar dish, fantastic colour, but Amazon's shipping time of 1-2 weeks is way off. I ordered this twice and had it take well over a month to arrive. Rating: - holds sugar wellThis basic sugar bowl uses the marvelous law of gravity to keep together thousands upon thousands of sugar granuals at a time. Emily Henry has designed the lid to rest into the base, allowing one to keep the sugar out of sight from casual onlookers. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because I figured it would be a bit larger. The diameter is about 4 inches.
