I know that this is an expensive pepper mill, but it is WELL WORTH it's price. Very well made and sturdy, this selection, the Peugeot Fidji 8-inch peppermill brings true fashion and sleek looks to any dining room or kitschy kitchen table. This mill has a black-colored hardwood base and a stainless-steel dome that proudly bears the Peugeot mark. The mill's channeling grooves line up those fussy little peppercorns in exact precision with the grinding grooves, thusly cracking the corns in half before the actual fine grinding process. I have purchased two cheaper pepper mills in the $15 to $25 range in the past 10 years and they lasted approximately 2 to 3 years. Don't waste your money on an inexpensive mill. You get what you pay for and you sure get a GREAT, LIFETIME pepper mill in Peugeot's products!
