Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - You will love this ultimate waffle maker!
I love great Belgian waffles. Last summer my wife and I went to California for a vacation and stayed at a Residence Inn. For breakfast we made our own waffles and I said then -- I have got to have one of those waffle makers. I was in Marshall Field's and this Waring Pro Waffle Maker was on display. I had to have one. What a machine. It produces perfectly golden waffles, beeps when they are ready. Well built, it is fun to use. Much, much better than I expected. I can see myself buying several more for gifts -- it does make the perfect Belgian waffle. What else is fun too is that there are so many different recipies and no two recipes have the same flavor.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - If you're a fan of Belgian waffles....
The previous reviewer pretty much said it best. Many thanks to Waring and Amazon for saving me about $650, cuz I was about to break down and buy a restaurant waffle baker! As far as I'm concerned, this is the only [home-use] waffle maker in existence. I only wish that it was available sooner! I've gone through about 4 wafflers (I'm really not that fond of wasting my time and money) trying to find one that could make a restaurant-style Belgian waffle. Well, this is IT! You would have to spend *AT LEAST* another $400 to get anything remotely like it - and even then, you'd likely never be able to use it in the average home. My grandmother took one of the rejects - in fact, she just called to tell me what a horrible job it did! This unit makes 1-inch thick, deep-pocket, restaurant-style Belgian waffles - and it makes 'em fast too! They even include a measuring cup so you can put in just the right amount of batter. And it looks pretty cool, as well. Anyway, do yourself and your Belgian waffle recipe a great service by buying this unit... this is the only *affordable* waffle maker that can do the job right!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - So far so good
This waffle maker was given to me for father's day, and we had perfect waffles right away.

I was surprised just how fast it made waffles. We had outgrown our original because our family has grown to five. With this model, we couldn't eat them fast enough. I imagine the balance will change when we get teenagers in the house, but I was impressed. The beeper on this unit made it so I could pour the batter, sit down and eat, and only get up when the next one was ready. There was no need to monitor the baker, or even to peak between the top and bottom to check if it was done.

    The non-stick surface worked well.

One nice consequence of the rotation feature is that the waffles cling to the upper iron when the baker is opened. This means that gravity helps you remove the waffle, making it easier.

So far I have no complaints.

By the way, we made a family buckwheat recipe and it worked well.
