We purchased this cooler as a gift for a friend. To our dismay only 2 of 10 types of wine/champagne bottles we tried fit the unit. We thought it would be great for parties but it doesn't go the distance - literally!

Rating: - For beer and wine it's a winner
Last time I gave a party, a lot of friends showed up with cases of warm beer. Guess what? That beer was never consumed because it never got chilled - the fridge was full of food for the party and putting beer in the freezer is a recipe for disaster if you lose track of it. Wish I'd had one of these then, but I have one now and it can be quite handy. This cooler is perfect for chilling bottles and cans of beer, especially if your fridge has an ice machine like mine (or if you have a bag of ice handy). I haven't tried it yet on wine or champagne but if the bottle fits in the cooler it should work well. It has a small footprint so it fits well on a countertop. I plan to use it at my next barbecue and am really pleased with how quiet and functional it seems to be.
