I was a little skeptical at first. After all, how good could it be for a low price like this (?) I thought.

But this is a nice little machine. Simple, easy to use and works well every time.

It makes a fast, convenient cup of coffee.

And it is super easy to clean-up.

Coffee is done in around 90 seconds. Cleans up in under 60 seconds.

Its not meant to be traditional coffee, nor is it meant to be fine espresso. Thats why its called SENSEO - and not coffee and not espresso. It makes a nice, frothy, coffee-like treat.

If I want gourmet coffee I use my Kitchen Aid Proline Coffee Maker. If I want espresso, I use my super-automatic espresso machine from Starbucks.

But this is quickly becoming my favorite. I make my senseo, add in some sweetener and Cremora and I'm in heaven. I am becoming addicted to this. Outstanding.

I wouldn't hesitate to buy this!!!!!!! And the pods are very reasonably priced as well. If only the ads were fine-tuned a little more, I think Senseo will be a sensational hit in the US.

Rating: - Senseo with Medium Roast Coffee
I saw a commercial of the Senseo coffee system on TV and I decided to give the system a try by purchasing one at my local Target store. I was quite impressed with its features: The coffee tastes good and has a layer of crema that you normally get with espresso, the machine is relatively quiet, easy to use, and easy to clean up. Coffee can be prepared in a few minutes with minimal cleanup. I am very happy with my purchase. Prior to purchasing the Senseo system I had two espresso machines: a Gaggia Coffee, which was a good machine but needed to be retired, and a Francis X5 espresso machine that I recently purchased online for sale ($350) through Whole Latte Love. While the X5 makes a really good espresso I have essentially abandoned use of this expensive coffee maker in the morning. It sounds as loud as a jackhammer, which is the last thing I need early in the morning (I am not a morning person). For those of you who prefer a quality cup of coffee and a machine that is relatively quiet with minimal hassle and clean up: I think you will be well served by the Senseo coffee system.

Rating: - A good buy
I bought two machines, one for my colleague, sometime in November 2004. We both use our machines almost daily and are extremely happy with the purchase. The convenience of making one cup of frothy, hot coffee, with all of its flavors, in less than a minute is beyond happiness. In order to get the best result you must do the following: Use only one pod. Using two pods to make two cups is not a good idea. Also, make sure that the pod is placed correctly in the receptacle with the convex side down. Otherwise, coffee will spray out! Also, do not turn the machine off before the coffee has been pumped out. I keep my machine in my office, so that coffee is alwys ready when I want it. I like it so much I am planning on getting another machine for home so that I do not have to use the regular drip machine for these short runs!
